IntroductionThe Association, founded in 1934, is a member of the International Chamber of Commerce, and is designated by the Hong Kong Government as competent to issue all kinds of certificates of origin under Article 11 of the International Convention for Simplification of Customs Formalities. The Association also issues Generalised Preference Certificates (Form A) for export to Canada, Norway and Russian Federation. Its certificates are protected by the Protection of Non-Government Certificates of Origin Ordinance and recognized by custom houses throughout the world. ¡@ Quality Services

How to become CMA member?
Late Applications
Late applications must be submitted together with the following supporting documents:
(a) a covering letter explaining the reasons for the late application,
(b) a copy of the commercial invoice and the bill of lading / airway bill / postal receipt in respect of the consignment covered by the application,
(c) export licence (if appropriate), and
(d) packing list (if appropriate).
Issued Certificate of Origin should be returned together with the application. There is no limitation on the number of amendments. However, amendment on the following items is not permitted:
(a) increase in quantity of goods,
(b) material change in the description of goods, i.e. change in HS Code, or
(c) any other changes involving submission of fresh applications.
(If amendment is not permitted, a replacement CO can be issued instead.)
Complete the CTC application form and submit to the Association.
The duplicate or photocopy of the original certificate should be submitted together with the application.
There should not be any changes of particulars in the certificates.

Endorsement of invoices, exporter declaration and certificate of non-manipulation should be applied together with CO applications.
Endorsement of other commercial documents should be accompanied by an authorized letter of the company concerned.
A set of duplicate of the above documents should be submitted. These will be kept by the Association for record.
