Electronic Data Interchange Service (EDI)
Introduction
The Association cooperate with Tradelink Electronic Commerce Limited (Tradelink) to establish the Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) Service Centres. The main purpose is to assist traders who are not yet ready to make use of the EDI service, submit their applications through CMA EDI Service Centres, where the paper applications can be converted to electronic format for submission to Government. Thus improving their operation efficiency and productivity. EDI Service Centres in a sense that provide services to business partners who can enjoy the benefits of electronic commerce no matter they are registered EDI users or not.
EDI Services currently provided by the Service Centres include :

Import /Export Declaration

Certificate of HK Origin ( CHKO) / Processing (CP) / Certificate of HK Origin - CEPA

Product Notification (PN)
Service Centres' users provide the shipment details in relevant application forms, submit it with government charge and service centre handling fee to the EDI Service Centres of the Association in four different locations.
Service Pledge of the EDI Service Centres
Provided that application is error-free and all supporting declarations have been received, an application will be forwarded electronically to the government department concerned on the same day of submission.
