In 1979, the Chinese Manufacturers' Association - one of the largest Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Hong Kong - established an independent entity of laboratories known as CMA Testing and Certification Laboratories (CMA Testing).

Over the years of development and experience, CMA Testing gained local and international recognition with following major events:

• In 1985, the Japan Toy Association appointed CMA Testing as an Administrative Agent for ST Mark testing and application.

• In 1987, CMA testing received its accreditation from HOKLAS (Registration No.004) for a series of testing as specified in HOKLAS service scope.

• In 1989, CMA Testing received the authorization from the International Wool Company to test all Woolmark and Woolblendmark products.

• In 1997, LNE and CMA Testing signed a major partnership in the field of toy testing.

• In 1997, CMA Testing obtained ISTA certification. for its packaging testing facility.

• In 1998, opening of the New Jersey (USA) office.

• In 2000, a partnership was signed with Core Lab China setting up a chemical testing facility in China which obtained A2LA accreditation the same year.

Scope
