On behalf of the Chinese Manufacturers’ Association of Hong Kong (CMA), Dr David Wong, President and Mr F C Lo, First Vice President of the Association yesterday (11 August) presented a cheque for HK$1 million to Mr Li Guikang, Deputy Director of the Liaison Office of the Central People's Government in HKSAR, for Zhouqu mudslide relief.
The massive mudslide hit Zhouqu County, Gansu Province, on 7 August, causing hundreds of casualties and numerous people homeless. In the wake of the devastating mudslide, the CMA donated HK$1 million, hoping to express care and concern and to provide timely assistance for the victims in the affected region.
