尹會長亦提到在他擔任廠商會副會長的6年間，積極提升廠商會在社會及政府等方面的認受性，更在他的倡議下成立香港品牌發展局，協助推廣香港品牌。

洪克協會長的家族由祖父一輩開始已加入廠商會的會董會，而洪會長則是在父親的引薦下成為會董會成員。洪會長當時主要負責廠商會的財務工作。他舉例說，當年廠商會檢定中心因錄得虧損而曾被考慮放棄，但在他極力爭取下，檢定中心最終能繼續經營下去。洪會長又憶述在任期間曾修訂廠商會的選舉方法以及相關章程，由會員投票選出會董，他相信在當時來說，是首個商會採用民主選舉制度。
