從事鐘錶業出身的李秀恒會長分享他最初加入廠商會的原因，是希望能夠更快掌握行業的資訊，並與同業保持聯繫、交流行情。當他成為會長後，認為廠商會作為本港的主要商會，應多為業界發聲，故在任期間，積極聆聽業界聲音，並向有當局反映意見；李秀恒會長亦認為廠商會應履行更多企業社會責任，因此在他的推動下，會方投放了更多資源於各類推動社會和諧發展的項目上，更與各大專院校合作，致力培育人才。
