Mr Ngai Shiu Kit, the then president of the CMA and Mr S S Kanwar, former chairman of the association of Indian Engineering Industry, signed an agreement on industrial and technological cooperation on behalf of their respective associations.

CMA Annual Report 1983
This report documents the activities and accomplishments of CMA during 1983, including the advocacy achievements, the testing and certifications, the trade missions and receptions, the competitions and the scholarships, the completion of the redevelopment project of the CMA Building, the 25th annual general election, the amendments to articles of association and the joint luncheon in honor of the UK Prime Minister. It also contains the Hong Kong's trade figures, the list of members of General Committee and various committees, and a report on the Prevocational School.
