CMA hosted a dinner in honour of the US South Carolina Trade and Investment Mission.

Meeting on “Government Interference with Customary Business Commission”
Action taken by the Independent Commission Against Corruption(ICAC)against persons and companies involved in giving commissions for trade purposes in early 1976 caused great concern in commercial and industrial sectors. Hence, CMA and other leading trade and industrial organizations decided to work together and a Joint Associations’ Committee on “Government Interference with Customary Business Commission” was established. In November, a Joint Associations’ meeting on “Government Interference with Customary Business Commission” was held at the City Hall. Over 500 representatives from 306 civic bodies attended to exchange views on this problem.
