從事鐘錶業出身的李秀恒會長分享他最初加入廠商會的原因，是希望能夠更快掌握行業的資訊，並與同業保持聯繫、交流行情。當他成為會長後，認為廠商會作為本港的主要商會，應多為業界發聲，故在任期間，積極聆聽業界聲音，並向有當局反映意見；李秀恒會長亦認為廠商會應履行更多企業社會責任，因此在他的推動下，會方投放了更多資源於各類推動社會和諧發展的項目上，更與各大專院校合作，致力培育人才。

Oral History Interview – Dr Li S H, Eddy (Part III)
自2004年起，廠商會已先後在內地多個主要城市舉辦工展會，而李秀恒會長更把工展會帶到台灣及澳門等地，其中最為特別是在2017年，即香港回歸20周年，成功於中國首都北京舉辦工展會。另外，李會長認為業界應要有長遠的國際視野，除了傳統歐美市場，還要關注其他新興市場的發展，例如近年國家積極推動「一帶一路」倡議，為幫助業界率先抓住商機，他便組織了中亞考察團。
