Summary:
The Employees Retraining Board (ERB) launched the “ERB Manpower Developer Award Scheme” (the Scheme) in December 2009 to recognise organisations which demonstrate outstanding achievements in manpower training and development as Manpower Developers (MDs). Through the Scheme, ERB aims to cultivate a common social value to attach great importance to manpower training and development. At present, around 500 organisations from over 30 industries have been accredited as MDs. With a view to recognising the exemplary and continuous achievements of MDs in manpower training and development, an upgrading mechanism was introduced in 2019-20. Current MDs that have been granted the award status for 10 consecutive years will be acknowledged as “Super MDs”. The validity period will be extended from two years to five years.
