Hong Kong ESG Awards

Embracing Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) practices is pivotal for enterprises to build long-term competitiveness and achieve sustainable development. To inspire Hong Kong businesses to further elevate their ESG performance, the Chinese Manufacturers' Association of Hong Kong (CMA) hosted the 2025 Hong Kong ESG Awards cum ESG Pledge Presentation Ceremony on 17 October at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre.

The event was graced by the presence of guest-of-honour Mr Michael Wong Wai Lun, Acting Financial Secretary, as well as award presenters Dr Bernard Chan, Under Secretary for Commerce and Economic Development and Mr Arthur Lee Hok Yin, Commissioner for Climate Change of the Environment and Ecology Bureau. During the ceremony, representatives from 23 winning companies were presented with prestigious ESG Awards, while certificates were also awarded to more than 200 participants of this year's ESG Pledge initiative. The event drew more than 400 attendees, all gathered to witness the growing momentum and achievements of Hong Kong's business community on the path to sustainability.

As a staunch advocate of sustainable development, the CMA has introduced the ESG Pledge, the Hong Kong ESG Awards and a range of green services to assist industry players in embracing ESG practices to enhance their competitiveness.

The Hong Kong ESG Awards is organised by the CMA, with the Hong Kong Brand Development Council as the co-organiser and HSBC as event sponsor. The event also enjoys the support of strategic partner CMA Testing, and supporting organisations, including Hong Kong Productivity Council, Hong Kong Quality Assurance Agency, The Hong Kong Institute of Directors, The Hong Kong Polytechnic University and UNESCO Hong Kong Association. The Hong Kong ESG Awards comprises four major award categories: the ESG Grand Award, the ESG Award, Special Award for SME and ESG Certificate of Merit. The judging panels evaluate the overall performance of participating companies in various aspects of ESG and assess the performance of their relevant projects to determine the winners of each award.
