The 32nd Hong Kong International Education and Careers Expo Set to Open This Saturday
Highlighting AI Trends and National Development Priorities

With graduation season just around the corner, the 32nd Hong Kong International Education and Careers Expo, organised by the Chinese Manufacturers’ Association of Hong Kong (the CMA), will be held from 4 to 5 July at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre. The event serves as a comprehensive, one‑stop platform offering invaluable information on further studies, continuing education, and career opportunities.

This year’s expo features three major zones: Overseas and Chinese Mainland Education Zone, Local Education Zone, and Careers Square. Together, these zones will feature over 1,000 colleges, educational institutes and education consulting firms from more than 20 countries and regions. Attendees can explore a wide range of programmes, including diploma, undergraduate, postgraduate, and professional certificate programmes, as well as short courses.

In addition, Careers Square will host prominent employers— spanning government departments, disciplinary forces, public institutions, and multinational corporations— offering more than 1,000 job vacancies with some providing on‑the‑spot interviews.

At today’s (29 June) press conference, Dr Wingco Lo, President of the CMA, reaffirmed the association’s long-standing commitment to talent development. In addition to operating secondary schools, funding scholarships, and supporting tertiary institutions through donations, the CMA has organised the Hong Kong International Education and Careers Expo since 2019. “As the global economy accelerates towards digital transformation, the demand for talent is evolving rapidly,” Dr Lo noted. “The expo serves as a vital platform to help students and job seekers stay ahead of market trends, and pursue education and career paths that best suit their interests, strengths and aspirations.”

Mr Ivan Sze, Vice President of the CMA and Chairman of CMA Exhibition Services Limited, highlighted that this year’s expo is closely aligned with the changing skills demands driven by AI development and the nation’s 15th Five‑Year Plan, helping students and job seekers capitalise on the opportunities of this new era. “Participating institutions will showcase an array of emerging higher education programmes,” Mr Sze noted. “These cover high-demand specialisations such as electric vehicles, robotics and automation engineering, diagnostic radiology, and child development and psychology. This will not only expand study options for young people, but also help cultivate industry-ready talent needed to support the development of both Hong Kong and the nation.”

To provide visitors with deeper insights, the CMA has arranged over 25 thematic seminars during the expo. Key topics include public examination information, study planning, career planning in the AI era, and education and employment in the Greater Bay Area. One of the highlights will be a sharing session by Mr Micky Chan, representative of the Hong Kong, China Esports team, who will speak about his journey to becoming a professional esports athlete. Alongside these seminars, visitors will be able to enjoy a range of complimentary career support services, including CV evaluation and professional portrait shooting. They can also leverage AI-powered tools for JUPAS programme selection guidance, occupational analysis and professional image transformation, helping them unlock their potential and map out their ideal future paths.

The Expo is free to attend and will be open from 11am to 6pm.
