CMA President Mr Irons Sze led a 51-members delegation to Guangxi from 25 to 27 March, to explore the investment environment there. The delegation met with Mr Peng Qinghua, Secretary of CPC Committee of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, and some senior government officials, they are Mr Chen Wu, Vice Secretary of CPC Committee of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, Mr Zhang Xiaoqin, Vice Chairman of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, Mr Yu Yuanhui, Secretary-General of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, Ms Fan Xiaoli, Head of United Front Work Department, Mr Zhou Hongbo, Mayor of Nanning Municipal People’s Government, Mr Li Xinyuan, Mayor of Qinzhou Municipal People’s Government, Mr Gao Piao, First Deputy Mayor of Qinzhou Municipal People’s Government, Mr Wang Xiaodong, Secretary of Beihai Municipal Committee of the CPC and other government officials.

During the trip, the delegation attended “Guangxi Investment Environment Major Industrial Park Promotion Symposium”and the welcome banquets hosted by the above government officials. Also, the delegation visited some major industrial parks in Nanning, Dongxing, Qinzhou and Beihai.

In addition, CMA President Mr Irons Sze represented the CMA to sign a MOU with Mr Liu Hongwu, Vice Mayor of Beihai Municipal People’s Government. Also, CMA President Mr Irons Sze represented the CMA to present a cheque for the amount of HKD$ 1,000,000 to Baise City for the victims who have suffered from hailstorm while CMA Members Mr Lvis Sze represented Hang Tung Resources Holding Limited to present a cheque for the amount of HKD$ 5,000,000 to Nanning City.

Honorary Advisor of the delegation was Ms Yin Xiaojing, Deputy Director of Liaison Office of the Central People’s Government in the Hong Kong SAR. Advisors of the delegation were Mr Sze Chi Ching, Chairman of Hang Tung Resources Holding Limited, and Mr Guo Hengbin, Deputy Director-General of Coordination Department, Liaison Office of the Central People’s Government in the Hong Kong SAR. Deputy leaders of the delegation were Vice Presidents Mr Jimmy Ng, Dr Edward Tsui, Mr Johnny Yeung, Mr Ng Ching Wun and Honorary President Mr Chan Kim Sing. Guests of the delegation were Mr Xu Xiaolin, Deputy Researcher of Coordination Department, Liaison Office of the Central People’s Government in the Hong Kong SAR and Ms Cheng Jing, Secretary to Ms Yin Xiaojing. CEO Mr Paul Leung. Other delegates included Executive Committee Members Ms Stella Lee, Mrs Shirley Cheung, Mr Joseph Lau, Mr Ronald Lye and Dr Tony Tai, General Committee Members Mr Liu Siong Song, Dr Lo Kam Wing, Mr Yu Tak Ming, Mr Dennis Ng, Dr Victor Chan, Dr Lo Tai Chin, Catering Services Committee Chairman Mr Fu Chak Hung

, Financial Services Committee Chairman Mr Lo Ching Kong, CMA Ladies’ Committee Chairlady Mrs Luna Chiu, Vice Chairlady Mrs Chan Chan Yin Yee, CMA Youth Committee Member Mr Ho Wing Fai, Member Mr Vincent Leung, CMA Members, Media Representatives and staffs from CMA Secretariat, 51 in total.

Mr Peng Qinghua, Secretary of CPC Committee of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, met with the delegation led by CMA President Mr Irons Sze.

CMA President Mr Irons Sze represented the CMA to sign a MOU with Mr Liu Hongwu, Vice Mayor of Beihai Municipal People’s Government, and the ceremony was witnessed by Mr Peng Qinghua, Secretary of CPC Committee of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, and Ms Yin Xiaojing, Deputy Director of Liaison Office of the Central People’s Government in the Hong Kong SAR.
